Abstract

Investing is a captivating activity that attracts everyone irrespective of their occupation, education and social status. Currently, the financial services industry in India has been successful in bringing highly diverse investment options for the individuals. They offer a wide array of investment options which are properly strategized and planned. These services help an individual to understand the investment options better, manage their risks and increase their wealth. The study focuses on understanding the investor behaviour and preference of investors in Mumbai. The major objective of the study is to analyse the level of awareness regarding the various investment channels among the Investors in Mumbai. Generally, Indians are very conservative by nature and mainly are concerned about saving money. Being savers by nature people generally have good financial planning but when it comes to investment, they prefer only the traditional options.
