ANALYSING PHYSICAL TEACHERS AND ACADEMIC TEACHERS ATTITUDE TOWARDS ORGANISATION OF CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Abstract

Co-curricular activities are considered media for realising aims of education. Co-curricular actives are defined as those activities which are organized outside the classroom and are supervised and monitored by the school authorities directly with a view to promote all-round development.  The total sample for this study consists of 100 teachers. Whole data was collected by using “Scale of Attitude Towards Co-Curricular Activities” developed by Poorva Jain and Neelam Dikshit (2016). The data was subjected to statistical treatment by using both Mean, SD, Frequency distribute, percentage and independent ‘t’ test. This study was intended to explore the attitude of physical teachers and academic teachers towards organisation of co-curricular activities. Keeping in view, it was found that there exists significant difference between physical education and academic teachers on their attitude towards organising co-curricular activities. Physical teachers were seen with more favourable attitude towards organising co-curricular activities as compared to academic teachers.
